Wednesday, April 16 the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative held its first major national meeting of 2008. It was an incredible success and a perfect start for the Collaborative’s series of meetings. The event drew well over 150 participants from across the country representing nearly all the viewpoints and interests of those engaged in the national discussion on health reform.
Some of the topics that were discussed include practice transformation, the patient perspective, addressing “What is the Team”, the landscape of current health reform, the public payer system, employer benefit redesign, PCMH demonstrations, technology, qualifying the PCMH, and the expansion of stakeholders.
One of the key takeaways from this meeting for many of our participants was the Employer Benefits Redesign Guideline that we are on working with the NBCH to produce. You can find the draft chapter of the guidelines attached to this week’s agenda. Please review and comment.
